Privacy Policy
This policy explains what personal data WSN collects when you use wsnstudio.co.uk, why we collect it, and the rights you have over it. We keep it short and specific, because a privacy policy is only useful if you can actually read it.
Who we are
WSN is a web design studio operating as a sole trader based in Staffordshire, United Kingdom. For the purposes of UK data protection law, WSN is the data controller for the information described here.
If you have any question about this policy or your data, email projects@wsnstudio.co.uk and we will respond within one month.
What we collect
We only collect what you choose to send us through the enquiry form on our site:
- Your name
- Your business name
- Your email address
- What you are interested in (the option you select)
- Anything you write in the message field
We do not ask for payment details through this website, and we do not knowingly collect data from children.
Why we use it, and our lawful basis
We use your details for one purpose: to reply to your enquiry, discuss your project and provide a quote. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract, and our legitimate interest in responding to people who contact us about our services.
We do not sell your data, and we will not add you to a marketing list from a website enquiry.
Who else handles your data
Two service providers process enquiry data on our behalf:
- Web3Forms receives your form submission and forwards it to us by email.
- Google Workspace hosts the mailbox where your enquiry arrives and is stored.
Our website is hosted by Hostinger, which processes standard server logs. We also load fonts from Google Fonts, which means your IP address is shared with Google in order to deliver them.
Some of these providers operate outside the UK. Where data is transferred internationally, it is protected by UK-approved safeguards such as the International Data Transfer Addendum or equivalent contractual protections.
Cookies and analytics
This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics or tracking tools. There is nothing to opt into, and nothing following you around. If that ever changes, we will ask for your consent first and update this page.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry emails for up to 24 months from our last contact with you, so we have a record of the conversation if you come back to us. After that they are deleted. If you become a client, project records are kept for up to 6 years to meet UK tax and accounting requirements.
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to ask us to:
- Give you a copy of the data we hold about you
- Correct anything inaccurate
- Delete your data
- Restrict or object to how we use it
- Provide it in a portable format
Email projects@wsnstudio.co.uk and we will action it within one month. There is no charge.
Complaints
If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please tell us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk, or by calling their helpline on 0303 123 1113.
Changes to this policy
If we change how we handle personal data, we will update this page and change the date at the top.
